WHATSAPP GROUP ADMIN ARRESTED IN MUMBAI FOR ALLEGEDLY ADDING A WOMAN

Mustaq Ali Shaikh, (24-year-old), a WhatsApp group administrator has been arrested by the Mumbai police for adding a woman’s mobile number without her consent to a group that shares pornographic content. He has been arrested under IPC sections for outraging the modesty of a woman, and under 67 and 67-A of the IT Act. He has been sent to police custody. The maximum punishment an accused could get under the IT Act, 2000, is up to five years imprisonment for the first and  if an accused commits the crime again, he can sent to jail for up to seven years jail and fined 10 lakh.

MAN HELD FOR DUPING WOMEN ON MATRIMONIAL SITE

A man from Andhra Pradesh's Prakasam District was arrested by the Cyber Crime Police in Hyderabad, after he allegedly cheated several women on matrimonial sites by demanding money from them. The accused identified as N Jeevan Kumar, was a resident of Nallamadugula village in Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh. The accused used pictures of others to create a matrimonial profile and input false details to lure women.
