MADRAS HIGH COURT SLAPPED RS 50,000 FINE ON MAN FOR FORGING COURT DOCUMENTS

Madras High Court imposed a fine of Rs.50,000 to a man named as Jayaraman, who was involved in a property dispute with another person for forging court documents in order to win a favourable order. The court directed him to pay it to Bala Gurukulam School at Villivakkam, and also ordered initiation of criminal proceedings for forgery, false evidence and other relevant penal provisions against him.

ASTROLOGER ARRESTED FOR SEXUALLY EXPLOITING WOMEN

HIGH COURT SAW ‘PROMISCUITY, VOYEURISM’ IN SONIPAT RAPE VICTIM’S ALLEGATIONS, GRANTED BAIL TO ACCUSED

The Punjab and Haryana High Court gave a surprising reason to grant bail to three students of O P Jindal Global University who were convicted of sexually assaulting a junior concluding that ‘possible promiscuity of rape survivor’. The bail order came on a petition challenging the judgment of a Sonipat court, which in May 2015 had awarded two of them 20 years' jail term and ordered the third to undergo seven years' imprisonment.

MAN HELD FOR BLACKMAILING HIS WIFE BY POSTING OBSCENE PHOTOS

Cybercrime sleuths of Cyberabad commissionerate arrested an employee of the Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) for blackmailing the family members of his estranged wife and threatening them of uploading her alleged objectionable videos and photos on the internet, if she did not withdraw cases filed against him. She filed a case in Visakhapatnam court regarding their divorce.
