Criminal cases against ACP, Two Sub Inspectors for meddling in Civil disputes. A criminal case was lodged against former L.B.Nagar,, ACP, Ramulu Naik and two Sub Inspectors for their involvement in a civil disputes. Meerpet police booked the trio for allegedly assaulting and intimidating a property owner in the civil dispute.

Abolish Juvenile Justice Act: Governor

Andhra Pradesh Governor Shri.ESL Narasimhan said that, getting away under the cover of juvenility is a wrong precedent and that special courts should be set up to conduct time bound trial. Further stated that, exemplary punishment should be meted out to those who indulge in crimes against women. Call it infant crime or juvenile crime, crime is crime.

Stringent punishment for acid attacks

The Telangana State Cabinet on Thursday decided to hand over stringent punishment- 10 years jail to life imprisonment to those accused in acid attack cases, although such punishment already mentioned in the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Cheque bounce will come with a cost now



The offence of cheque bounce will be a costly affair from now on.  Finance Minister Arun Jaitely said that the Negotiable Instrument Act would be amended to make it mandatory for an accused to deposit a specified amount in court before he/she was granted an opportunity to contest the case.
